Lincoln Day is quickly approaching and the Shelby County Young Republicans are offering 2010 dues paying members VIP tickets for only $85. The Shelby County Republican Party’s Thirty-Fifth Lincoln Day Gala will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis. With the purchase of a ticket at our table you will not only be able to attend the dinner but will also be admitted to the special VIP reception beforehand and have the opportunity to meet featured keynote speaker RNC Chairman Michael Steele. After a successful inaugural season the SCYR’s men’s softball team is gearing up for the City of Germantown’s Adult Spring Softball League and are looking for a few more players to join the team before the season starts. Last year the Raging Elephants were ranked as the 2nd seed heading into the playoffs and with a core group of starters returning are poised to bring home the league championship this season. Games are organized through the City of Germantown Parks and Recreation Department and will be played on Thursday nights at Houston Levee Park starting in early April and run through July. Raging Elephant fans will also be able to purchase team jerseys before the season starts. Grab a friend and come out to our February Happy Hour this Thursday night at Mellow Mushroom in Germantown. This is a great opporunity to socialize, relax and meet fellow Young Republicans just as the campaign season is beginning to kick into full gear. You will also be able to find out more about how you can get involved in the Shelby County Young Republicans and make an immediate impact in the 2010 election cycle. The Happy Hour will last from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Mellow Mushroom is located at 3075 Village Shops Dr, Germantown, 38138 and is across from Target.

We will be holding officer elections at this meeting. Only 2010 dues-paying members will be allowed to vote. Dues are $20 per person or $30 for married or engaged couples. You may pay your dues online or at the meeting.
